Skulptur vor gelber Wand – sculpture against a yellow wall
Hier sind die beiden Passanten nicht das wichtige, mir fiel diese alte Skulptur vor der gelben Wand auf. Die Sonne schien auch nur knapp in die Gasse hinein, was eine eigene Lichtzusammensetztung ergab.
The two pedestrians are not the most important, the old sculpture against the yellow wall attached my eye. The sun just shined in the narrow street what led to a very special composition of light.

Bummel in der Altstadt – stroll in the Old Town
Bei dieser Alstadt Strassen-Szene spielten die Farben verrückt, alles leuchtete und war intensiv und voll im Licht. Die Sonne arbeitete mit aller Kraft.
In this scene on a street in the Old Town the colors were crazy, everything shined, was intensive and in full light. The sun was shining at full capacity.

komm endlich – do come
Die beiden Frauen waren zusammen in der Stadt unterwegs, immer wieder habe ich die beiden auf der Strasse gekreuzt. Hier schien die eine Frau entwas ungeduldig geworden zu sein und rief der anderen zu, sich zu beeilen. Stand und Bewegung plus die eigenwillingen Hintergründe waren für mich der Grund, dieses Bild zu malen.
The two women were on their way in the city, again and again our paths did cross. In this scene one of the women seemed to have become impatient. She called out to the other one to hurry up. Stand and motion and, in additon the unique backgrounds were a reason for me to paint this picture.

das gelbe Hemd – the yellow shirt
Dieser Mann in Begleitung zweier Frauen fiel mir durch sein gelbes, leuchtendes Hemd auf. Der Hintergrund war stark im Schatten was diese starke Blautöne ergab.
This man, who was in the company of two women attached my eye because of his yellow, glowing shirt. The background was in dark shadow, whereby strong blue shade were procuced.

Einkaufsstraße – shopping street
Das Licht war klar, die Farben leuchtend und kontrastreich, dazu kam diese leuchtend rote Bluse. Mir fiel die Situation auf und es war ein Spass dieses Bild zu malen.
The bright light, the lightning and contrastly colors and in addition the enlightning red blouse. This scene attached my eye and it was fun to paint this picture.

Sommerzeit – summer time
Mit dem Koffer unterwegs, lockere Kleidung und ein Blick ins Schaufenster. Für mich ein stimmiges und sommerliches Bild das sich hier auf der Strasse ergeben hat.
On the way with a bag, casual clothes and a glance through the shop window. In my eye, this was a harmonious and sommerly scene, that arouse on the street.

auf dem Weg zum einkaufen – on the way to go shopping
Schon dass die 3 Damen noch keine Taschen tragen, lässt mich die Vermutung anstellen, dass sie auf dem Weg zum Einkaufen sind, vielleicht auch zur Arbeit.
Zusätzlich malte die Sonne in richtig starken Farben, alles leuchtete in Orange und Rot. Die Kleidung war der Kontrast dazu.
The fact that these three women did not yet carry bags led me to the assumption that they were on their way to go shopping, maybe to work.
In addition, the sun was painting with strong colors, everything was shining in orange and red. The clothes were the contrast to that scene.

Vater & Söhne – father & sons
Früh morgens habe ich die beiden Jungs mit ihrem Vater auf einem Platz entdeckt. Sie hatten alle drei viel Spass und sind rumgetobt. Wenig Licht und die monochrome Farbe des Platzes ergab für mich eine spannende Farbstimmung.
Early in the morning I recovered these two boys with their father on a square. They all had a lot of fun and were roughhousing. Little light and the square’s monochrome color produced an exciting composition of colors.
